Style and elegance at an amazing price

Shanghai is a pretty amazing city. With a population of over 23 million people, you can imagine that it can be a bit overwhelming at times. Sometimes you just need a place to wind down and relax; a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. There are quite a few hotels in the city that provide this peaceful tranquil environment you are looking for, but one Shanghai hotel stands out in my mind – the Pier ONE Boutique Hotel on Yichang Road.Shanghai by Night

Location, location, location

This hotel was built in an old abandoned brewery in the Mengqing Garden located on the south bank of the Suzhou River. The garden stretches out to the north of the hotel and is surrounded on three sides by the Suzhou River. This lends a quiet peaceful feel to the hotel since it isolates it from the surrounding city. It is amazing just how much of an impact this garden has, especially when you consider that you are right in the city centre, with the main train station just four streets away.

Comfort with style

The hotel has only 24 rooms – so if you want to stay here, book in advance. The rooms range from garden view rooms to river view rooms. On the upper floors you will find the largest and most luxurious rooms including the Concubine Suite, the Empress Suite, and the Emperor Suite. The best suite is probably the Empress Suite which has 5 metres of French style windows providing you with an amazing view regardless of the weather outside.

Up on the rooftop, you will find a very well equipped spa where you can be pampered and massaged into a state of total relaxation.

Hotel Pier ONE BoutiqueAll in, the Pier ONE Boutique hotel provides you with an oasis of tranquillity in a busy bustling city, and it somehow manages to bring world class style at a very affordable price – check it out on HRS; you might be pleasantly surprised.
