Honeymoon ideas

A honeymoon is a special time, and you definitely want to find the very best destination, but it is also nice to find an out-of-the-way spot too. HRS has a few suggestions in mind for you….

First, there’s the beautiful city of Salzburg.
This city is just south of Munich on the edge of the Austrian Alps, and very easy to get to.  The hotel we have in mind is the Hotel Schloss Mönchstein. There are few hotels anywhere that come close to the outstanding oasis of peace and relaxation that this hotel provides. To call this converted castle a romantic place to stay is an understatement.  Located in the Salzburg Schlosspark on the Mönchsberg mountain, this castle hotel dates back to the mid-1300s, and it has been carefully restored to remain true to its origins. The hotel provides outstanding service, rooms fit for a King and Queen, or even a newly-wed couple. Combine that with a day spa where you and your new spouse can pamper yourselves in the pinnacle of luxury, and you are in for a treat you will never forget.

Another destination that is very hard to beat is the beautiful Maldives off the south coast of India.

There is never a bad time to spend a week or two in a hotel on these fabulous islands, and it’s one of those dream destinations that is picture-perfect for starting off a marriage on a blissful note.

There are quite a few nice hotels to choose from on the islands varying from top luxury to family oriented places.

One of the favourites on HRS is the Anantara Kihavah Villas. The beauty of this place is difficult to put into words. The villas are located in a very private secluded lagoon which is bordered by swaying palm trees on one side and the crystal clear Indian Ocean on the other. This hotel is a sanctuary of peaceful privacy, private swimming pools, open air bathrooms, hammocks that suspend you over water teeming with fish, and some of the best food you’ve ever tasted. You will never want to leave your room – if you do decide to step out and explore a little though, the staff at the hotel have a nice selection of activities to keep you busy for your whole visit.
